Manual Guide i Software

Using the ‘Manual Guide i’ software, the operator can easily call-up and edit existing programs or create new complex part programs using easy step-by-step conversational style cycle prompts...

 

   
Create a New Part Program Example:    

To create a new part program press the function key under the NEWPRO, the OPEN PROGRAM window will appear (shown below under Edit Program). Press the function key under  NEW, you will be prompted to key in a ‘new program number’.

Press the function key under ‘CREATE’ and your ready to set up you new part program.

 

A screen with your New Program Number will appear, scroll to the next screen and press the function key under START. A ‘Starting Command For Turning Window will appear. For this example we selected

2. Cylinder Blank Figure.

 
Press the function key

 

 under ‘SELECT’ and the ‘Cylinder Blank’ window will appear, fill in the blanks and press the function key under ‘INSERT’, you will see a new screen showing the new information in your program.

 
The next step is to select tool and start point, just fill in the blanks and insert into the program.
 

Now we will choose the turning cycle form a large library of canned cycles. Press the function key under ‘CYCLE’ select a cycle, a window will appear showing the cycle, fill in the blanks and in the insert into program.   

 

Repeat with the cycles needed to complete your program.

 

Once we have completed inserting the cycle date, we need to insert ‘XZ PLANE TURNING FIGURE’ data. When that is completed we are ready to finish our program

 

To end the program press the Function Key under ‘END’. 


The ‘PROGRAM END INFORMATION’ screen will appear, input the ‘SAFE END POS. for X & Z insert it in your program and you ready to go.

 

 

 

 

 

Check your part program in the ‘SIMULATE’ window, you can view a 3-D image of the finished part.

 

 

 

 

 

To Edit a Part Program:

To edit an existing parts program scroll to OPEN PROGRAM window, select the parts program you would like to edit and press the Edit soft key on the control panel. Select the cycles you want to edit, make the correction and press the function key under INSERT (shown above).

 

 


When you're finished, you will enter the data in the ‘PROGRAM END INFORMATION,
