20" & 24" LATHES
For your larger turning needs the CLAUSING/METOSA 20" & 24" Variable Speed or Soft Start Precision Lathes will be a real workhorse in your shop. The 24" Pipe Threading Lathe has an extra large spindle bore and lower spindle speeds for threading, polishing and grinding. The machines are constructed with a heavy-duty cast iron base to give you years of trouble free production... Just Add Your Chuck and You’re Ready to Turn.

Bed & Bedways:

The extra-wide 13-3/4" bed is scientifically designed with tapered cross braces for fast and easy chip removal and constructed of stabilized cast iron with bedways hardened and ground to a hardness of 42 to 47 Rc. The bed is mounted on a heavy-duty cast iron base that is specially engineered to absorb vibration and ensure smooth accurate operation.

Micro Carriage Stop:

For precision cutting the Micro Carriage Stop is standard on the 20" & 24" lathes.
4-Position Bed Stop:

Fast position for turning and cutting the 4-Position Bed Stop is standard equipment.

Carriage & Apron:

Easy-to- operate controls, designed for operator efficiency. The 20" & 24" lathes are equipped with a quick change tool post and the easy-to-read dual inch and metric dials.

Tailstock:

Extra heavy-duty casting, for maximum work support and rigidity, with a 2.83" ram with 5MT taper. The ram has a graduated scale and handwheel ring is indexed for accurate ram positioning.
