This year, for the second year in a row, Clausing, 1819 North Pitcher Street, will not only host

national events have been provided by Clausing. SkillsUSA/VICA
is a non-profit making organization which provides over 13,000 students at
US schools and colleges with relevant job training in over 100 different
skilled occupations. The programs prepare students for employment by
introducing them to the corporate quality culture and emphasizing the
importance of leadership skills, positive attitudes and pride in
workmanship. Clausing
Industrials President, William Nancarrow, explains, As the
U.S. machine tool industry starts to rebound, there will be an
ever increasing need in the future for qualified machinists and industrial
engineers and the SkillsUSA/VICA program is a vital asset to every
company. When you involve students in the classroom, you can help ensure
that they will learn the skills which business and industry require. 600
Group Chief Executive, Tony Sweeten, added, The future health of the
manufacturing and machine tool industries depends upon continued
investment in both technical education and engineering innovation and
these are two areas with which 600 Group enjoys a long and successful
association. Events like the SkillsUSA/VICA competition play an important
part in the evolution of these industries while providing the Group with
an opportunity to contribute to their long-term prosperity at a grass
roots level. |
